How To Use Google Public DNS on Windows 7

1. Go the Control Panel.

2. Click Network and Internet, then Network and Sharing Center, then Change adapter settings.

3. Select the connection for which you want to configure Google Public DNS. For example:
  • To change the settings for an Ethernet connection, right-click Local Area Connection, and click Properties.
  • To change the settings for a wireless connection, right-click Wireless Network Connection, and click Properties.


4. Select the Networking tab. Under This connection uses the following items, click Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4), and then click Properties.

5. Click Advanced and select the DNS tab. If there are any DNS server IP addresses listed there, write them down for future reference, and remove them from this window.

6. Click OK.

7. Select Use the following DNS server addresses. If there are any IP addresses listed in the Preferred DNS server or Alternate DNS server, write them down for future reference.

8. Replace those addresses with the IP addresses of the Google DNS servers: 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4.

9. Restart your connection.

How To Open Help File (.help) In Windows 7

For friends who use Windows 7 and have not been able to open the *. hlp files (help files) quickly download updates KB917607 with Windows 7 follow these steps:

1. Go to Windows Help program (WinHlp32.exe) for Windows 7

2. Click Continue to proceed.

3. The next display is the Windows genuine validation page. Click continue to download the Genuine Checker Tools.

4. Once downloaded, run the file to get the validation code, then copy and paste into the validation box, then click Validate.

5. Download KB917607 update file with a choice of x86 (32 bit) at 688 KB or x64 (64 bit) at 702 KB. (Select according to Windows 7 that you use)

6. Once finished downloading, please install the update KB917607.
After finishing installed, try to open the help file you are ..!
